A day of reckoning
13th January 2023

Friday 13th. An infamous date that over the centuries has struck fear into the hearts of the superstitious, and fire into the bellies of champions.
One thing that we know for certain about today is that by the going on down of the sun, and in the morning, there will be champions.
With what looks to be an unassailable lead, the Milanese stride into this evening’s finale with confidence. Sources tell me their preparation has been immaculate, and social media is awash with fans already celebrating with such hashtags as #youcanTicklemywife and #naestrikesnaeproblems.
I’m delighted also to report that the Championship game marks the return of an icon of the Rohirrim - George “The Don” Lynch. After an extended absence, the shirt is pressed, the balls are polished, the shoes are buckled, and he’s ready again for action. This is likely to be the only positive news in the Rider’s camp today, after a dismal defence of their maiden title.
Pin City are of course also rolling their way alongside the founding teams tonight, looking to shore up second spot.
Who in fact will be turning up for them is, as usual, a mystery. In a surprising twist, the league are offering early bird ticket specials for the final, which include the chance to pick PCR's starting line up from www.helpuswereuseless.com.
That’s all from me until the season’s over, as usual, keep them rolling.
